Unsupersize Us Wins Award in Impact DOCS Awards Competition
Gainesville, Florida February 4, 2107 – Juan-Carlos Asse has won a two Awards of Merit and five Awards of Recognition from The Impact DOCS Awards Competition. The award was given for Juan-Carlos Asses’ exciting documentary, Unsupersize Us, which demonstrates how a whole food plant based diet combined with exercise can eliminate medications and reclaim your health in just six weeks. Unsupersize Us features exceptional an story line location, visuals, sound, and unique challenges that the subjects in the documentary compete in. After six weeks of a plant based diet and exercise the five subjects no longer needed medications for depression, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, crohns disease, celiac disease, or sleep apnea. “I am so excited and surprised to win so many awards from such a prestigious film festival,” says Asse, who directed and produced the film. “Honestly, I never expected to win seven awards. It is truly a tribute to all the hard work the subjects and our training team put into this film. We believe passionately in the message of the film. It can make a difference for all that see it.”
Impact DOCS recognizes film, television, videography and new media professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change. Documentaries were received from 30 countries, including veteran award winning filmmakers and fresh new talent. Entries were judged by highly qualified and award winning professionals in the film and television industry.
